Frustration Can Come From The Smallest Of Places

As most of you know I am a mom of four children. Right now they are all teenagers. Many times I have struggled to be the mom I need to be for them. But whether I am having a rough day with life, or maybe it's something the kids have done, I will get extremely frustrated and ask God why he gave my four kids. I just can't handle it.

God has alway been able to look past my frustration and see that I truly love my kids.

What I have found, is that my kids have the ability to frustrate me and bless me practically in the same sentence. One thing we have to remember is to go to God whether your at your wits end, or God has caused the kids to truly be a joy that day.

What God has shone me is opportunities to show himself in the situations that I face. That all my kids have different talents. That through my prayers and teachings, God is helping shape and mold their lives. That He is awesome and powerful to help me guide my children.

Sometimes we worry too much. I know I do. But always remember our God is amazing. Sometimes we just have to stand back and thank Him for all we have.

“In this all-out match against sin, others have suffered far worse than you, to say nothing of what Jesus went through—all that bloodshed! So don’t feel sorry for yourselves. Or have you forgotten how good parents treat children, and that God regards you as his children? My dear child, don’t shrug off God’s discipline, but don’t be crushed by it either. It’s the child he loves that he disciplines; the child he embraces, he also corrects. God is educating you; that’s why you must never drop out. He’s treating you as dear children. This trouble you’re in isn’t punishment; it’s training, the normal experience of children. Only irresponsible parents leave children to fend for themselves. Would you prefer an irresponsible God? We respect our own parents for training and not spoiling us, so why not embrace God’s training so we can truly live? While we were children, our parents did what seemed best to them. But God is doing what is best for us, training us to live God’s holy best. At the time, discipline isn’t much fun. It always feels like it’s going against the grain. Later, of course, it pays off handsomely, for it’s the well-trained who find themselves mature in their relationship with God.”

PRAYER:

Daddy God, I come to you today just because I love you. I adore your holy name. I thank you for guiding my path and correcting me when I am wrong. I know you watch over me and my family, and I want more than anything to live a life that exemplifies your name. So go with me today and show me how to glorify your name in all I do and say. Father, I know there are people that people are sick and hurting today. Lord, I just ask that you touch them. Heal their bodies, and give them strength so that they made go forth in you. We love you, Jesus. We love you. We praise your name. We are thankful for your presence. Amen!!!

Be Blessed.
