A Firm Adherence...

I was thinking about yesterday's prayer, and decided to delve deeper into the word love. As I was doing my research, another word began to ring in my spirit. Integrity. How does Integrity tie into God's meaning of Love? Well first we start with another definition...

Integrity:
1 - firm adherence to a code of especially moral values : incorruptibility.
2 - an unimpaired condition : soundness.

3 - the quality or state of being complete or undivided : completeness.

For us to grow in love, we must have integrity. God will take us deeper into an understanding of His love, and teach us how to emulate His love more completely, if we stay moral and connected to God's word. As christians, we all long to be complete in Christ. Well then we must have integrity. God's word shows and tells us how to live with integrity in Psalms 101.

“I will sing of your love and justice, LORD. I will praise you with songs. I will be careful to live a blameless life— when will you come to help me? I will lead a life of integrity in my own home. I will refuse to look at anything vile and vulgar. I hate all who deal crookedly; I will have nothing to do with them. I will reject perverse ideas and stay away from every evil. I will not tolerate people who slander their neighbors. I will not endure conceit and pride. I will search for faithful people to be my companions. Only those who are above reproach will be allowed to serve me. I will not allow deceivers to serve in my house, and liars will not stay in my presence. My daily task will be to ferret out the wicked and free the city of the LORD from their grip.”

PRAYER:
Daddy God, we want to live in your presence. We want to be guided by your word, and we truly love you with all we are. Today we declare that we will live with integrity, and be faithful to your word. We praise you, and worship your holy name. You are an amazing God, and I love you. Lord, we ask that you send your healing power to heal our bodies and restore our souls. We ask that you forgive our sins and help us to live with integrity. We know that adhering to your word and standing with your principles can be challenging at times. So give us strength to meet those challenges. We want to be your light. We want for people to see you in us. Because we are your vessels, we ask that you pour into us all that you need us to do and say. We pray all this in Jesus name. Amen!!

Be blessed.
