Stretching So We Can Run

Some days I really struggle to have confidence in what I believe. Those are the days that God will drop a thought or scripture in front of me that reminds me that my God is stronger than what I think or see. My God knows my strengths and weaknesses. He also knows what He needs to do to make me stronger and more confident in Him.

Sharing God with all of you has been a big step for me. A big giant sized step. For one thing, I did not believe that I knew enough about the bible to actually tell other people about God. For a long time I even believed that God did not talk to me. What I am now discovering is that He talks to me about everything.

He guides me on what to write. He will give me a thought on what to say or do. He does it all the time. And what I have found is, that God is blessing people around me with the things I say or do. It does not really matter what I think of me, God uses me anyways.

There have been some occasions where God has told me to take a deep breath and go to someone that may have been mean or even said something ugly about me, and bless them with a sweet treat I have made. Sometimes it is just to say something positive, or ask if everything is OK, and if I can pray for them. That is hard for me to do, and makes me very nervous, but God blesses me and others when I obey and go ahead and deal with my pride and fear.

God loves us irregardless if we say or do what He says. God loves us despite our actions. Or our inactions. So we need to love others despite their actions. God made us in His image. So if we are going to live and do what Jesus would do, we must forgive and love always.

-And- we must stretch our faith and act on what we believe God is instructing us to do despite our fear or pride. When we stretch, we are preparing to really run the race that God has asked us to run.

“Seek the Kingdom of God above all else, and live righteously, and he will give you everything you need.”
‭‭Matthew‬ ‭6:33‬ ‭NLT‬

“Faith is the confidence that what we hope for will actually happen; it gives us assurance about things we cannot see.”
‭‭Hebrews‬ ‭11:1‬ ‭NLT

PRAYER:
Daddy God, we thank you for allowing us mess up. Thank you for teaching me your ways and loving me in spite of my failures. I truly look for opportunities, even though I find myself scared to share your word or speak what someone may need to hear. Thank you for always giving me a chance, and allowing me to to take my time. I long to be confident, that know matter what you say, I will come to the place where I just have no reservation and I just tell others what you would have them know. You are an amazing God. You are my all in all and I trust and love you. You are so precious to me. Amen!!!

Be blessed!
