Oh Yes I Can!

This week has been interesting at work. I work in a call center for the Hyatt hotel chain. I have been there for a little over a year, but coming into this job I had little to no experience. I had spent the last 20 years raising kids. Now I had a job where I had to use a computer. I have never been a fluent typer, along with the fact that my husband claims anything with buttons is allergic to me. They just never work right. Now I am having to type for eight hours a day on a computer that I am convinced hates me. At first I thought, I am never going to be able to do this.

There is a quota that I am suppose to meet. I have really struggled to meet it, but have rarely been able to. It has been frustrating to see others racing along with seemingly little effort, and I have been working my butt off to reach my quota with little to no success.

Honestly, I thought I would never reach my goals.

I know, however, that God rewards effort, and He knows the desires of my heart. So I kept working at it, and really praying hard. I would ask God to help me do my best.

He listened. He would would give me strength and show me little things that helped me feel more confident about my progress.

Do not get me wrong, I've had some rough days. In fact, many more rough days than smooth days. That's when my poor husband would have to help encourage me by sending me a text message, or pointing out my other success when I got home. God would continue to encourage me in my spirit when I prayed and did my Bible study. Or He would point something out to me when I would listen to my Pastor on Sunday. He reminded me that I was giving it my best. It gave me confidence to take another step and keep going.

Well this week I finally did meet the quota! I have been floating on cloud 9. I guess it wasn't such an impossible task after all.

All of this to say: My God can help you do anything. No matter what life hands you, if you continue to do your very best and keep asking and trusting God, He will help you accomplish anything you put your heart and mind too. Even if it takes a bit longer than you would like.

“Work with enthusiasm, as though you were working for the Lord rather than for people.”

“Work willingly at whatever you do, as though you were working for the Lord rather than for people.”
‭‭Colossians‬ ‭3:23‬ ‭NLT

Daddy God, I praise and worship your holy and precious name. Today we come to you with thanksgiving and confidence that you are on our side. God, just help us remember all the things you have done for us, even when it is small. The small victories is what eventually brings the big victories. One step at a time. Do not allow us to get weary in well doing. You are an awesome Father. I thank you for your power in my life. I declare healing and power to flood our souls and bring your strength in our lives. We love and adore you for all you do and say. Thank you for giving us strength to conquer another day. Amen!!!

Be blessed.
