I would never have thought I would I would write a blog series with three parts, but here we are. I get the feeling that somebody really needs to hear this. So I am going to do this one last piece and try to wrap it up. So whoever this is for, please listen up.
The last few days I have talked about reflecting on my past journeys, and how God brought me through. There are three parts to this message and here are the other two.
Part 1
Part 2
I really feel like that all of this writing is for one person in particular, though I have no idea who that may be. Whoever you are, imagine me standing in front of you wagging my finger at you as you read this.
There are many times in our lives that God brings us through, though sometimes we wonder if we will make it to the end. I know life can be hard and maybe you don't understand what God is doing, but if you will continue to listen and obey Him even when it is hard, I promise that you will make it to the end.
Your journey will truly never be over. One journey will end, and another will begin. All connected to each other like shining pearls on a necklace. Life is full of ups and downs, but it is all what you do with the situation that you are in, that will make the difference in the next challenge that you face. Some of your challenges, God allows to happen so that we grow. Some challenges are a result of our own choices. Others just happen because that is how life is.
Walk through each with God, and the next challenge is not quite so impossible to deal with.
I know you are saying, "Can't I just have a break?" The truth is that God puts those breaks in our lives, but many times we miss them. It could be only one good day out of the whole week, but because most of the week was hard, we tend to overlook the small victories we have.
Speaking for myself, I seem to stay on these emotional rollercoasters most of the time. Where I feel unworthy and even stupid at times. Then one day, out of the blue, I will have a great day. No sadness. No worry. I will just be happy. A lot of times I forget about that day because I have struggled all the other days. But like I have said before, those days are where God is blessing me. To either start a new journey, or just preparing me for the next part of the race has been set before me.
God is always there even in the worst times. You have to trust. And if we are being honest, we can all have trust issues at times.
“But don’t just listen to God’s word. You must do what it says. Otherwise, you are only fooling yourselves. For if you listen to the word and don’t obey, it is like glancing at your face in a mirror. You see yourself, walk away, and forget what you look like. But if you look carefully into the perfect law that sets you free, and if you do what it says and don’t forget what you heard, then God will bless you for doing it.”
James 1:22-25 NLT
PRAYER
Daddy God, we love you!! We know life can be hard and very frustrating at times. But we also know that if we trust you and just keep going, that you will see us through. Just like Dori on the movie Nemo, just keep swimming and God will bring you through. Even when we forget where we have come from and where we are going. Lord, I just ask that you bless and protect all that trust you. Thank you for seeing us through the hard times, and renewing our strength in the good times. We love and adore you. We also thank you for the continued healing of our bodies, that we may walk in divine health because of the stripes you bore for our healing We love and worship your holy name. Amen!!
Be blessed!
